St Mary's Church will hold it's first Friends and Family Service for many months, next Sunday!

The Bank Holiday weather showed great promise on Sunday Morning as we welcomed back the Rev Gillian Orpin to St Mary’s for the two services of Holy Communion held that morning. The Rev Gillian had been one of our main supporting priests during the long period without our own incumbent so it was good to see her again.
Next Sunday, June 6th at 10.30am, the Morning Service will be with our Rector, the Rev Alex Wheatley as we join him on St Mary’s Church Field for an outdoor Friends and Family service when we hope to welcome back many of our old friends and also some new ones for this lovely service which is held usually on the first Sunday of the month. The aim is to provide something for everyone of any age. This means we provide craft based themes for the younger ones present with specially selected children’s hymns and bible stories. But the older people who come along are not forgotten as there is plenty for them to do as well. The singing is accompanied by St Mary’s Music Group led by our regular organist, Nick Wilson. Tables will be provided but anyone taking part needs to bring picnic items, ground sheets, refreshments etc. Numbers are limited due to the current Covid regulations, so it is essential to book by emailing: elizabethprice018@yahoo.com There is no charge. We hope the weather will hold and that many will come and enjoy a pleasant time with us.
Also on Sunday at 7.30pm, St Mary's Church. NightLight, by Zoom only, our monthly service of quiet contemplation, music and prayer. Zoom access: Meeting ID: 432 851 790 Passcode: 032720
