Easter for 2021 comes to an end with Ascension Day next week
It’s good to be back writing my usual column this week, after an enforced break whilst I was in Bedford Hospital. So I am sorry if you missed the weekly news over the last two weeks, but everything back to normal from this week.
Our morning service in St Mary’s on Sunday was conducted by the Rector, the Rev Alex Wheatley. The Easter period is now coming to an end for this year, so Rev Alex spoke of the days and events that happened and eventually leading to Ascension Day, this year on Thursday May 13th, 39 days after Easter Sunday. More will be heard of this special day on the Christian Calendar, very soon.
With the gradual lifting of the Covid-19 regulations, it is to be hoped that our services will return to their normal format in the very near future. We will be able to tell you more about this in the coming weeks. in the meantime we must take utmost care for ourselves and others and follow the current rules until they are changed
