A regular Sunday, with a bit of a sizzle!

We welcomed more people this week to our Sunday Morning Service congregation, to hear the Rev Alex Wheatley, our Rector, conduct the service of Holy Communion. The Rev Alex will also conduct the Morning Service next Sunday. After the service, we held a social gathering of a “Sausage Sizzle” on the church field, with quite a good turnout in spite of the dampish weather and overcast sky. We got our forks and plates ready for Hot Dogs and a salad selection which were available and with a selection of games to be played but the weather rather put a damper on the latter. However, it did not spoil the fellowship of eating with friends on a slightly damp field so maybe we’ll do it again sometime, if the weather improves, and then get stuck into the section of old fashioned, but popular, games as well!
