Still no news on full re-opening of our Churches

On Friday this week, our church organist, Nick Wilson, will be presenting his fortnightly “Thought for the Day” on BigglesFM at 8.15am. Find him on 104.8 on the dial. The next talk will be on July 10th.
There is still no news about the re-opening of our churches for services as yet, so our Sunday Morning Services for Trinity, on Zoom, will continue for the foreseeable future. Last Sunday, we had 25 connections and 37 people taking part in the Service. This week Reader Simon took a back seat and the service was led by Paulet Brown-Wilsher, a member of St Mary’s Church and an Ordinand, assisted with the technical things by Sutton Churchwarden Darren. The “Thought for the Day” was given by Reader David.
Next Sunday, the service will again be held via Zoom at 10am and it is hoped many will be able to join us. Any member of St Mary’s, or the Benefice overall, who is not on the Sunday Link mailing list and wishes to be able to receive joining instructions to take part in these services, should contact the church office at benefice.com@gmail.com. Applications must be by email as there is no telephone link to the church office at this time.
Potton’s Quarterly Market took place last Saturday, and it was bustling with many people, many of whom we had not seen since the lock down started, so it became a real social event this time but everyone was keeping their distances as much as possible, and that is what we need to do until the all clear is eventually given. We continue to pray that this time will come very soon. Take care.
