9.00am at Potton Benefice Holy Communion
(note: there is no 10.30 service on Remembrance Day)

Refreshments for dignitaries to be served at Potton Old Community Centre
10.15am - Remembrance Day Service on the Market Square.
Starting with “The Battle’s O’er” played on the Northumbrian pipes followed by Act of Worship and Parade to War Memorial.
11.00am
Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial, with return Parade to the Market Square. Refreshments in the Community Centre.
12.30pm
St Mary’s bells join a National peal of bells commemorating Armistice.
3.00pm
Free Concert at St Mary’s Church to commemorate the end of World War One, with “Anthems for Doomed Youth” by Douglas Coombes, readings, hymns and a roll call of the fallen.
Retiring collection in aid of Help for Heroes.
7.00pm
Beacon of Light tribute as a chain of 1000 beacons are lit throughout the UK, together with (at 7.05pm) St Mary’s Bells ringing out over Potton.
